House rules
Last updated: August 2026 · what you can stream, what you can say, and what gets you shown the door
The house belongs to Hammer Forge Apps LLC (RaveMode.tv); the rules below are the deal you accept at the door. They're part of the terms of service.
Stream ratings: all-ages vs 18+
Every stream carries a label. Before your first broadcast you pick a rating for your channel in the go-live wizard, and you re-confirm it each night — you can change it any time, even mid-stream, from your account page.
- All-ages: the default. Language and music clean enough for the whole floor.
- 18+: mark it when the set will include swearing, mature language, or explicit lyrics/tracks. Viewers get a gate screen before the video loads and the directory shows an 18+ badge.
Rate honestly. The 18+ label covers language and music only — it unlocks nothing else (see below). If admins have to re-rate your stream for you, that's a strike.
Never allowed on any stream
No exceptions, no matter your rating, no matter how many viewers:
- Alcohol. Don't drink on stream and don't make drinking the show. Cocktail vlogs, drinking games, shots-on-donations — no.
- Cannabis and any illegal drugs. No use, no display, no rolling on camera, no "come vape with me" streams — even where local law allows it.
- Nudity and sexual content. No nudity, no sexual acts, no "artistic" workarounds. This is a music stage.
- Anything illegal. If it's a crime off-stream, it's a crime on stream — plus a ban.
The 18+ label is not a pass for any of the above. It never will be.
Streaming rules for DJs
- Rate your stream accurately — all-ages or 18+, per above. Unrated channels can't go live until a rating is picked.
- Stream only music you have the rights to — originals, or properly licensed tracks. A venue's or PRO's license does not cover internet streaming. Details in the copyright policy; the warranty you signed is in Terms §4.
- You own everything on your stream — mic, camera, guests, overlays, the view out your window. If a guest swears on an all-ages stream, that's on you: flip the rating or run delay.
- No harassment, hate, or doxxing from the DJ chair. Calling out viewers by name to mock them, brigading another channel, leaking anyone's personal info — same standard as chat, with a bigger audience.
- Keep it you. No illegal activity, no dangerous stunts, no scamming the crowd (fake giveaways, fake charity drives).
Chat rules — everyone
These apply to viewers and streamers, in every chat, including your own. Mods and DJs can be stricter in their rooms, never looser.
- No harassment or hate. Slurs, hate speech, targeted abuse, sexual harassment — instant removal. Joke framing doesn't neutralize it.
- No threats. Not even "obviously joking" ones.
- No doxxing. Don't post anyone's real name, address, workplace, school, or socials. Don't share screenshots of private conversations.
- No sexual content or links to it. This includes "subtle" link shorteners.
- No spam or flooding. No emoji walls, no ALL-CAPS rampages, no ad blasts for other services, no repeated self-promo after being asked to stop.
- No buying or selling. Items can't be sold for money anywhere — offering cash for kandi (or kandi for cash) breaks the economy terms and voids the trade.
- No soliciting or coordinating rule-breaking — raid-organizing against another channel, asking a DJ to unrate their stream, sharing leaked content.
- Streamers: the same rules apply to your mic and your messages. You set the room's vibe; you can't order hits on people from the booth.
Pixel Studio — community art
The Pixel Studio is where ravers draw the platform's real item art. Submissions go to the gallery, the crowd votes, and admins mint winners as limited, serial-numbered series that drop from packs and ground finds. These rules keep the gallery somewhere worth voting on.
- It must be your own hand-drawn work. The checkbox you tick on submit is a warranty, not a formality. No tracing, no upscaling someone else's pixels, no AI-generated images dumped into the grid — the whole point of the studio is human art.
- No copyrighted characters, logos, or trademarks. No brand marks, no franchise mascots, no album art recreation, no "my version of" a famous design. Original rave-world characters only. Fan art of real DJs is fine only with the same originality bar — their likeness drawn in your style, not a copied poster.
- Keep it within the stream ratings. The gallery is all-ages: no hate symbols, no gore, no sexual content, no drug paraphernalia glamorization, nothing you wouldn't put on the flyer.
- Format is part of the craft. Square grids from 8×8 to 64×64, up to 64 colors per piece. Every submission names what it's for — pick the stock item you're redrawing (its current look is shown as reference) or submit as an open piece. Redesigns should keep the item's identity readable. Titles are subject to the same chat-language standards, and you can hold at most 3 open submissions at a time — quality over spam.
- What you grant us. Submitting art grants RAVE//MODE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use the piece inside the platform's item economy, streams, and promotion — always with your handle credited on the piece. You keep ownership and can distribute your art anywhere else. Removed pieces stop dropping; the license survives for copies already owned.
- Artist rewards. When a piece is minted, the artist receives serial #1 of the run plus a one-time rave-credit bonus by rarity: Plain 200 ◆ · Heat 300 ◆ · Hype 500 ◆ · Dub 750 ◆ · Grail 1,000 ◆. These are promotional credits funded by the platform (same as any bonus) — spendable on stream FX and everything else credits buy, not exchangeable for cash.
- Reporting. Every gallery piece and minted series has a ⚑ report button. Three distinct reports auto-hide the piece pending admin review. Admins can keep it or remove it; removed gallery pieces leave the wall, removed minted series stop dropping (copies already owned stay with their owners — provenance is permanent). Bad-faith reporting is itself a violation.
- Art violations run the strike ladder. Submitting stolen or rule-breaking art earns strikes like any other violation: 2 strikes → stream key revoked, 3 → termination. Copyright complaints about submitted art follow the DMCA policy.
Enforcement
- Chat: moderators (and channel owners) can delete messages, mute, or ban. Mutes and bans are site-wide when admins apply them.
- Streamers — the strike ladder: conduct violations and misrated streams earn strikes. 2 strikes → stream key revoked. 3 strikes → account terminated. Copyright strikes run the same ladder (see the DMCA policy).
- Severe cases skip the ladder. Illegal content, sexual content involving anyone, or genuine safety threats go straight to permanent termination and, where required, to the authorities.
- Appeals: reply to the strike email within 14 days with context. Bad calls do get reversed.
